It was about time to upgrade K3s nodes from Ubuntu 24.04 to Ubuntu 26.04. I’ve also wanted to test out using Debian 13 as K3s nodes for some time. Using Ansible to automate provisioning of cloud-init VM templates in Proxmox might still be one of the best investments I’ve made. This is the only change required in the role to have Ubuntu 26.04 and Debian 13 available: iso_images_to_download: ... - filename: debian-13-generic-amd64.qcow2 url: https://cloud.debian.org/images/cloud/trixie/latest/debian-13-generic-amd64.qcow2 checksum: "sha512:https://cloud.debian.org/images/cloud/trixie/latest/SHA512SUMS" is_cloud_init_image: true cloud_init_vm_id: 9003 cloud_init_vm_instance_template_name: debian-13-genericcloud-amd64 enable_qemu_guest_agent: true - filename: ubuntu-26.04-server-cloudimg-amd64.img url: https://cloud-images.ubuntu.com/releases/resolute/release/ubuntu-26.04-server-cloudimg-amd64.img checksum: "sha256:https://cloud-images.ubuntu.com/releases/resolute/release/SHA256SUMS"…
