Half-Finished Email

Every year we are blessed with opportunities. Every year we turn them down because we lack the capacity to take advantage of them.None of these opportunities come with a guaranteed payoff, but each represents another touchpoint for our work, a chance to expand our reach, and the hope that it might give us more resources to pursue other ideas.I am trying to reach out for help, to surround myself with people who can do things I can’t, or never seem to find the time to do. Illustrators, designers, writers and editors who have room in their schedules for more work. My daughter has offered to help with some things, but I have a half-finished email detailing what I need, and I never seem to have time to finish it. I’ll sit down to write it and something else lands in my inbox, like another pointless infringement claim from Spotify’s automated system.
