Weeknotes #400 — Erin Rae

Essential reading in the Berkhamsted Oxfam Books and Music store. As this is a milestone weeknote, I’m going to try and change these a little. For a long time I’ve been following the same pattern, which, while useful as a structure, feels like it has become stale in parts. If those parts aren’t fun to write, they can’t be that fun or useful to read. It’s time for something a tiny bit different. I’m planning to leave out the things that are either routine or don’t matter as much. This might be a one-off; let’s see how it goes. This week was hard. I’d known for many months that my boss was retiring, but the first week without him brought the reality home. Across my week, there were a few tricky meetings and conversations within the team, which on more than one occasion led me to bring up Alfred Adler’s quote that “all problems are interpersonal relationship problems”.
