Fixing the unavailability of Tasmota devices after HomeAssistant restarts 0 ▲ Neil's blog 1 hour ago · Tech · hide · 0 comments Earlier this year, I moved from running HomeAssistant in Python venvs to HomeAssistantOS. After an initial challenge with proxying, it has been working fine. I still don’t like using HAOS, but I can live with it. It seems to need updating a lot, and there is no - at least, not that I have found - automated way of doing this. So I am using an automation based on this template to automate updates. This works fine, but I have noticed that my Tasmota devices - of which I have quite a lot - are unavailable after HomeAssistant Core restarts. There are a lot of search results about this, so I am not the only one with this problem. I looked into a couple of the options (SetOption104 to 0, and SetOption19 to 0), but I already had these set. Reloading the Tasmota integration did not do anything either. What seems to have worked, though, is an automation which tells all the Tasmota devices to restart, once HomeAssistant restarts. Mine looks like this: alias: Restart Tasmota devices on HA restart… No comments yet. Log in to reply on the Fediverse. Comments will appear here.
