Big Prices for Small Tablets 0 ▲ This Is My Last 1 hour ago · Tech · hide · 0 comments I am not sure if it is the right strategy for Apple to release two small tablets – iPad mini and iPhone Duo – that have the word “Premium” stamped all over their price tags. I guess the base iPad is still around. I am also not sure how much lowering of prices Apple can do if it sells a base iPad that has a smaller screen. Two major components, memory and storage, are expensive nowadays, regardless of screen size. But I do wish Apple try to target a lower price. With all the premium stuff thrown into the Duo and mini, it does seem Apple doesn’t care about customers with lesser needs and higher price sensitivity. It seem that Apple thinks the one-size-fits-all base iPad is enough trying for them. ~ Link: The Radically More Expensive iPad mini, by Matt Birchler, Birchtree No comments yet.
