Weeknotes: Chasing Light — Week 43, 2026

Gosh, we’re getting into the final stretch of the year. And I have now secured a trip home for late December: I’m really looking forward to some catch-ups! People have been very complimentary about the photos taken last weekend, thank-you. Grammar has been, well, tough this week. Allegedly my grammar is now at a beginner N3 level, but I don’t agree with this assessment、それに、俺の日本語力もまだちょっと低いともう。 This week marked the inaugural two meetings of the burger club. Both interesting in their own ways. Which one of the two photos was the “British burger” is an exercise left up to the reader. My division held an away day and I led a session about Security & Reliability: some very good conversations were had. For dinner we brought in a sushi-train/回転寿司 pop-up which caught me off guard in a fun way: It’s nice being surprised about things.
