Another Chance For Johnny

In August of 2014 I submitted this story for Round 34 of our writing group. Even though there would be three more writing rounds, this was the last one I ever submitted. It had been extremely fun and productive being part of that group and submitting stories on a semi-regular basis. This one was an alternate version of a story I had previously written for Round 3, and as I mention in the story introduction below, I just couldn't stop thinking about it for many years. When that happens I take it as a sign that the story needs to be written down - and that's exactly what I did! Do you remember way back in 2006 when we held our 3rd round? That was the one where we all started with the same sentence. That was quite a fun contest, and I really liked the story that I submitted for it!
