Blueberry Hill by Fats Domino 0 ▲ Happily Imperfect 2 hours ago · Music · hide · 0 comments A song from the 1950s that you like or means something to you. Memories of my time at Hospital Radio Lennox are evoked by a small number of tracks. I heard so many songs for the first time there, exploring the record library, and it definitely was a formative part of my musical journey. I joined when I was 16, part of my community service to gain my Queen’s badge for the Boys Brigade, and met people who remain my best friends almost 40 years later. I can’t remember who played this on their show, or if it was a request from a patient, but my piano lessons always gave me an appreciation of any popular music that was focussed on tinkling the ivories. It also fed my newly burgeoning love of soul music, something that didn’t really feature in my parents LPs and cassettes, and it remains a favourite track to this day. “Blueberry Hill” by Fats Domino Listen on Apple Music Your browser does not support the audio element.
