Vivid Bliss

Despite being a Mac person since 2005, I’ve got a fair amount of nostalgia for Windows XP. The original “Bliss” wallpaper was a photo shot by Charles O'Rear in Sonoma, but there was also a modified version with a lower hill, punchier colors, and a lens flare dubbed “Energy Bliss” which shipped with Media Center Edition. Now, more than 20 years later, I thought it deserved another update. “Vivid Bliss” uses punchier colors with a P3 color profile, some California hills in the background shot by me in 2012, and a new, subtler arrangement of clouds, also shot by me just few years ago, all in a 6K square resolution, which now works great on computers, phones, and tablets. Even if you’re a Mac person like me, maybe you can excuse it by letting it be a “Sonoma” wallpaper. Download wallpaper from LMNT
