An almost intimidating number of things happening: We’re off to Hong Kong in December with Clara’s folks for a family wedding. It’s incredible, the vast majority of my close family and friends got married this year, including us. And it wasn’t even a year that ended with 8. A day in Macau, to which I’ve never been. We’re not into gambling, but I can’t wait to explore the history, cityscape, and food. Then across to Shenzhen with my inlaws to explore for a few days. Australians can enter visa-free until the end of the year, so we thought it’d be fun. As a train nerd, I can’t wait to explore their massive new Metro system. Then flying over to Tōkyō briefly to meet my sister and brother in law. They’re staying in Sapporo over Christmas, but will be further south during the window we can meet. We wanted to fly into KIX instead of NRT and spend some time around Kansai, but the timing didn’t work out. Back to Hong Kong for a few days for exploring, then Sydney. I’ve only been to Hong Kong…
