The Quiet 0 ▲ Tao of Mac 2 hours ago · Life · hide · 0 comments I was watching Gergely Orosz the other day for some reason, and he was going on about the impact of AI on the industry (what I like to call the Cambrian Slop Explosion). He mentioned that one of the major changes–and one of the personally taxing effects of using AI–was constant context switching and how fatiguing it was. And I completely agree. Nearly two months after returning from vacation and after a particularly nasty overlap of work and personal projects, the thing I missed the most was the quiet. To just sit in a room reading or writing with no pressure to check on my agents (work or otherwise, which also feels like work now), letting ideas come to me unbidden, in a Douglas Adams-esque parody, wafting in the wide open space somewhere between my ears and bumping into each other. It’s kind of nice, the quiet. No comments yet. Log in to reply on the Fediverse. Comments will appear here.
