Sunday Asides #118 My new part-time job kicked off this week...sorta. Monday was supposed to be my start date, but I hadn't signed a contract, gotten a company email address, or been given access to any of their tools to do my job. I spoke to my supervisor briefly on Wednesday since he was travelling for a conference, but he didn't seem eager to talk with me at all, let alone provide me what I needed to actually begin working. He said we'd talk on Friday once he was back from the conference...except that never happened. No call, no email, no nothing. I sent an email Friday afternoon letting them know my availability next week to connect, but my gut is telling me this part-time job is about to disappear in a puff of smoke. What a shitty prank to pull for Halloween. Oh, and if you're keeping track at home, next week makes TWO MONTHS since my other part-time gig extended an offer to me but hasn't made it official.
