Release of the week!

Wow, it’s been so long since I’ve done a release of the week post that it might even predate this blog. It is what it says on the tin. I listen to the release from the week that appeal to me, usually based on genre, and pick my favourite. No surprises that this week I’ve gone with death metal. The band is Feeding and the album is Insurmountable Suffering. Hailing from Alberta, Canada, this four piece outfit have unleashed their debut full length album on us all and it is one that might stick with me for a while. Crunchy riffs, a real stomp and groove to proceedings and some nice technical guitar work peppered throughout mean that this 26 minute run time absolutely flies by. It’s not a really a grower that rewards repeat listens as it unlocks more and more of itself. It just needs repeated listens because it’s fucking good. Bandcamp link Stick it on and bang your head.
