A helping hand

Yesterday I had a pretty bad day. So for today, I thought I would like to write about something positive. And it just so happens that I had another chat yesterday, with the same person, that is still rolling around in my head. Let me start by saying that my boss is not actually a bad guy. I think in another time and space, we might even have been friends. But with the power difference being what it is, I never followed up on that. Anyway…in an attempt to make me feel better about my struggle with “gotta feed my family” and “I want to stick up for my beliefs”, he said something real stupid. It’s only natural to want to look out for your family. People have evolved to only look out for themselves and their close friends. Nobody even cares about their neighbours anymore. A real “THE FUCK YOU’RE SAYING TO ME!?” moment. Because I am exactly the wrong person to say that to. I’m not saying I’m perfect and I sure as hell don’t always do it. But I try to go out of my way and help people. All…
