shavings & still not done........

Still slugging my way through the box. It is taking a lot longer than I thought it would even with the health issues factored in. It is a small project but the devil is in the build steps that I changed again today. I'm so close to the slapping on some shellac but no check mark for the done column today. Maybe tomorrow or the.....new lidResawing it as much as I can on the tablesaw. Like the first one I'll complete it with the japanese saw.hmm.....I tried to resaw the web evenly top to bottom but wandered off. I was doing good until I flipped it to complete the cut from the opposite direction.new lidGot 8mm dowel locators in the holes in the box. These are made for twist bits and not brad point drill bits. Regardless, they locate the drill point in the lid. hmm.....Soss hinges dry fitted and the back looks good. The joint line is consistent R/L but it isn't dead nuts flush. The lid is off a couple of frog hairs but not along the entire length.ta daI like the 'no hinge' look of these.…
