News: "A.I. found this new thing." Oh my! What are we going to do?

I woke up around 6:30am, way too early for my eyes that I had tired past midnight on a small C+bash+php project of mine: hacking the messages that circulate on the CAN bus of the heating controller in order to drive our energy needs down. I went to bed with more ideas for the next days, but really tired. I woke up too early, with my eyes stinging from wanting more rest, but the brain was already engaged contemplating the job of the day: get on the roof, remove a 2 sqm sheet of glass from a solar collector, fix the leak (or leaks, but hopefully just one in the lower left corner), seal the glass pane back in place, replace the broken tiles, and many other things before, in the middle, and after. And to get the day started, I read the news from a few spots around the planet. I like to get different angles... It started with a report of Doom striking the NZ government websites that got shut down in order to avoid being destroyed or more by A.I. that found the most terrible horrible scary…
