PHP Warns Admins to Expect Emergency Patches Tomorrow 0 ▲ Pixel Envy 3 hours ago · Tech · hide · 0 comments Lawrence Abrams, Bleeping Computer: In an advisory published Tuesday, the PHP development team announced that it plans to release security updates on Wednesday, October 21, at 14:00 UTC (10:00 AM Eastern), to address two vulnerabilities, each rated 9.2 under CVSS v4.0. The PHP security team also sent a notice to its ANNOUNCE mailing list, urging administrators to prepare to install the security updates as soon as they become available. Word on the street is that these exploits have leaked, and that remote code can likely be executed all the way back to PHP 5. If you have access to your website’s php.ini file, it might be worth turning off multipart uploads for now. ⌥ Permalink No comments yet. Log in to reply on the Fediverse. Comments will appear here.
