Lozenge Stencil 0 ▲ Shouting Into The Void 1 hour ago · Art · hide · 0 comments Painting lozenge pattern disruptive fabric in 1:144 scale isn't actually all that difficult. The trickiest part is getting the size and spacing of the first colour of the array right; once that's sorted, the rest of the painting is just a question of putting blobs of the appropriate colour in relation to blobs that are already there.I've 3d printed this airbrush stencil I made of the gold lozenges in the array (I use Vallejo Middlestone for this). I built it in Blender using an SVG I made in CorelDraw from a bitmap of the whole lozenge pattern, and then scaled it to roughly 1:144 scale. It would be better if it was more translucent, as placement has to go more or less by guess with an opaque stencil. However, it seems to have worked well enough as a proof-of-concept.I'd like to try a laser-cut version, maybe in something like tracing parchment with a sticky backing. No comments yet.
