Chase delight 0 ▲ Nomad Online 1 hour ago · Life · hide · 0 comments This week, The Writer Within encourages us to seek delight. By doing so we can train our brain out of the negativity bias we are all predisposed to. Prompt 11: Journal about some sensory pleasures that have delighted you over the past month. Marshmallows. I love them. The chewy soft pillows of sweetness are my secret delight. There is something beautiful and innocent about them. Takes me straight back to my childhood, of open camp fires and cold autumn days. Happy moments as we delighted in these crusty fire singed outsides breaking through to the gooey, melty, dangerously hot insides. They’re the sweet of birthday parties. Pink and white and served along with fairy bread. Right there in rooms full of balloons and games. Sugary joy. Sweet hyperactive delight. That’s what marshmallows mean to me. They’re an immediate hit of puffy deliciousness. Haha! Makes me smile just thinking about them. No comments yet. Log in to reply on the Fediverse. Comments will appear here.
