The plan is to mostly not have a plan, but we’re spending a few days in Bandon (my first visit in a long time), Newport (a long time favorite place of mine) and Seaside. I finally decided to check out the Best Western in Seaside. When Laurie heads out here solo, she typically stays in Cannon Beach and when I do this, I’ll stay in Astoria. Neither of us have spent a lot of time in Seaside, so this is a chance to explore it a bit more, but still have good access to the entire region, up to Long Beach.Each of these three places gives us access to a lot of interesting birding and photography options, but we are mostly not doing much planning ahead of time.
