Trip Tease – Durango Gorgeous new album from CDMX-based Carlos Salame, aka Trip Tease. This was released in August on the always-unpredictable and fun Australian label clipp.art, releases from which I’ve featured here several times in the past. Earlier this year, I also featured an excellent Prins Thomas remix of Trip Tease’s collaboration with Alain Vice, “Milano 2098”. Where both versions of that track placed Salame and Vice squarely in post-disco and italo territory, this new album is far looser and hazier. Salame mines the outer borders of house music primarily, but most of the album isn’t particularly club-focused, instead using typical house rhythms as a skeletal structure to explore textural ambience and disintegrated soul. Lovely stuff. You can find this for streaming or on bandcamp. … bandcamp 0:00 -0:00 —Loading… 1 Loading… Rewined – A life / Arp city Next up, two new tracks from Rewined (Reece Weinberg), an American artist occupying the space where earthy IDM meets neofolk.…
