July, August, September 2026: Lots of things (in spite of slowing down)

Hi there. There’s been a lengthier-than-usual gap between Maurilia Station posts, since by mid-year, my creative activity and much else if my life had been purposefully dialled back. The plan has mostly held, but inevitably I find myself doing things. So, I’m back with an update of what I’ve been up to lately. I thought I’d change up the structure of these posts a little too, so I’ve put the shorter updates at the start, before plunging you – quite literally – into my compost bin. I figured it was probably responsible of me to give you that heads up. The Fleurieu & KI Sound Map (FKISM) has taken a rest this year Recording at Aldinga Beach in March 2026 2026 has been the first year in about a decade where I have simply lacked the time and energy to gather many new recordings for the FKISM project, let alone do all the background tasks to get them up on the site.
