Week notes 2026-42

With week 42 complete, it's time for me to remind everyone that there are now 9 weeks left in 2026. Do you have a project you wanted to finish this year? Time to get moving (he says with many incomplete projects). I had something to say about resolutions and how they're meaningless (before diving into how it's just January 1st as a day to start being meaningless, and if there's something you want to change in your life, start now) but I can't remember what prompted it. It came to mind while I was walking my dog, and I neglected to write it down. Happenings More travel. Made a quick weekend trip to see my wife. We'll be back together this weekend for a much longer period. Made a lot of progress with things around the house. My to-do list is shorter but there are still things to be done the last window air conditioner needs to come out — and the weather is perfect for it The 2026 softball season finished with 2 innings played in pouring rain.
