I have updated my tracker of ai for hedge fund startups. Beyond increasing the companies tracked, I added metadata around founder background, funding rounds, and customers.AI for Hedge Funds TrackerCategorization requires some discretion. The line between an AI-native hedge fund and a hedge fund that uses AI is somewhat arbitrary. I have been inclusive with startups building for investment management broadly, and pickier with mature companies pursuing AI strategies.AI, itself, was instrumental in compiling the dataset. The speed at which an agent can parse customer logos, reconcile news reporting, and provide citations is a testament to the thesis behind these startups in the first place.Thanks for reading Magis!
