And with that, on to the week’s projects. Recipe As suggested last week, I did try turning my attempt at oat milk into yogurt. Combining the rice cooker yogurt instructions with the yogurt starter instructions, I heated the oat milk first, then added the starter and two tablespoons of sugar. The “yogurt setting” runs for eight hours, following that by a two-hour rest, then chilling at least six hours, which for me meant overnight. The starter instructions repeatedly emphasize that vegan yogurts other than soy don’t thicken, so I didn’t have any expectations on that front, beyond the thickness of the milk.
