Last night we heard some music coming from a nearby street corner. It sounded great, so we checked it out and was blown away by the size of the crowd. It was an unofficial rock show on the sidewalk at 16th and Valencia, with a couple hundred folks (mostly teens) in attendance. Here’s some footage featuring a band called [algoslave]: Watching the video again, one thing that stands out is that the crowd is hanging out. The only phone in site is mine The show was also put on without the city’s permission and without billionaire backed funding from sleazy groups like the Civic Joy Fund. The bands just showed up and made it happen. The kids are alright! Here’s a flier and some links to the bands: Algoslave (instagram) Misandrist (bandcamp, instagram) Knights Of Molino (website, instagram) View this post on Instagram A post shared by Knights of Molino (@knightsofmolino) The post Sidewalk Show On Valencia and 16th Street in San Francisco appeared first on Doc Pop's Weblog.
