28 - just pick a demon and live with it, man

This was mostly written in a bit of frustration over the usual "this social media is bad, let's all get out of here so we can feel like we're doing some moral good!!" after Bluesky was found to be promoting Attie's AI features on Twitter, but interestingly such promotion is nonexistent on its own platform. But I'm tired man lmao. Being an artist is tiring in this day and age where how well you do is highly dependent on the Algorithm, your work is essentially free use by both generative AI & lazy humans unless you have the money for a bulletproof legal team, and every day it feels like you're one mistake away from being homeless, or sick, or whatever. At this point in life I feel like that's about everyone now - always one foot away from having your life ruined in this day and age. I'm not here to promote nihilism. I think if there's a fight you care about, you should fight for it. But the one ill of social media specifically is that it has made us think we have to fight for everything…
