#coffeeneuring2026 No. 1 16.3km round-trip The Coffeeneuring Challenge 2026 kicked off a few days ago, and after dithering last year, this year I’m resolved to give it a go. So, between now and 25 November eight rides to seven (or eight) beverage-serving locations, no more than two a week, and despite clocking the first ride today, I’m saying the week started on Monday 12 October. One reason I didn’t participate last time was because it really is no big deal getting an excellent coffee here in Rome. More or less every corner bar will do a very acceptable espresso and cappucino and much else besides. You really have to go out of your way or order something absurd for it to be bad. So going out on my bicycle for a coffee just seems silly. On the other hand, there are a few beverage-serving locations that are more than the beverage. I’ve thought of three already and I’m sure I can come up with another four or five by the end of the challenge and arrange to visit them while running other…
