the book club has ended, but i'll be continuing the tradition 0 ▲ tugba's blog 1 hour ago · Writing · hide · 0 comments back in 2024, a few of my friends and i started a small book club, choosing a book each month and meeting online to discuss it. over time, it became harder to find a time that worked for everyone, so we decided to call it a day this month. we'll still keep in touch, of course, just without the monthly reading commitment. i didn't want to let go of the idea entirely, though. one of my favorite things about the club was choosing a new author or exploring a different country each month. it gave me a reason to read outside my usual preferences and discover writers i might not have come across otherwise. so i'm keeping that part alive. october's pick is already waiting: the beauty of the husband by anne carson. i'll be sharing my monthly picks here from now on, and maybe a few thoughts along the way.
