during a recent commute i was stopped at a red light when a bohemianly dressed, silver-haired asian woman crossed the street in front of me, talking to her companion in perfect, unaccented english. how the times change, and assumptions dissolve with it! i hope it does not take until my own hair is silver all over, for me to stop being surprised by it.
