What song makes you feel like you’re in a dream? I can’t help it. I think ‘dream’ and my brain leaps to ‘dream scene from a movie’. How do YOUR dreams play out when you try and relive them, try and capture them? For a while I tried to keep a dream journal but after just a few weeks I gave up. All I had was some jumbled words and locations. All of which I could easily, rationally, explain away —I’d visited my Mum the same day I went for a swim in the Loch, so obviously she was out there swimming with me (my Mum couldn’t swim). So trying to pull a song that matches that odd space that dreams hold is tricky. Dreams are usually messy, inconsistent, and vary in tone, in impact, in how sharp or soft they are. A vivid dream may be a single scene, a quiet dream a meandering wander through calm streets that shouldn’t interconnect.
