What’s New Scooby-Doo? – 31 Aug 2010

The first recording today starts with the end of The Story of Tracy Beaker. There’s a promo for the Doctor Who online games. Then a bit of continuity with Chris and Dodge T. Dog. Then it’s What’s New Scooby-Doo? – Reef Grief. The gang are in Australia, because Scooby and Shaggy are seeded in the Sand Castle Building Competition. They meet another of the competitors, Frankie Martin. Also on the beach is a pop concert featuring Smash Mouth. Also there is Rama Yam, some kind of hippie. A large creature made of Coral appears. Some of the sandcastle builders are sucked into the sand. The monster chases Shaggy, but then starts gasping for air and runs back into the sea. They find Rama Yam’s Medallion near where one of the builders vanished into the sand. “That’s Sanskrit, mate. Ancient Hindu writing. It means universal harmony.” Two surfers appear asking what’s been happening. Velma is suspicious because she hadn’t seen them surfing at all, and they’re cagey about why that might be. Shaggy…
