Let's actually try searching the smallweb

heya! every now and then, I'll see a post complaining about how narrow the focus of the small/indie web is. today, that was this post, by Yunzi, where they talk about non-tech topics being absent from the indie web... using kagi small web search results as an example. despite the name, kagi small web is in no way representative of the small web. they're an opinionated link aggregator pulling mainly from places like hacker news. yknow, that tech focused link aggregator run by a tech focused startup incubator. gee, i wonder why this only lets me find tech blogs... anyways, go and use marginalia search (or a similiar smallweb search engine, theres a bunch) if you wanna find cool blogs about niche topics. i looked up the first 5 example searches from that post, and they all had at least one smallweb blog in the first couple results. cya!
