Thinking about my running goals and races that I have booked into the calendar (listed here), I have come up with a plan (with the help of the Coros app) for the upcoming week… My running has been slacking lately, so I don’t want to destroy my legs this week and cause any issues, so easing myself back in is certainly the sensible route. My plan is currently: Tuesday, 8km at below threshold pace1 Wednesday, 5km at below threshold pace Friday, 5km at around threshold pace Sunday, 12km at below threshold pace My Coros Watch currently estimates my threshold pace to be around 5:12/km so I will use that as my pace guidance. Back-to-back runs on Tuesday and Wednesday will increase the load on the legs (running Wednesday whilst still being fatigued from Tuesday) which is something I need to get used to when building for the marathon. A 30km week, spread across four days sounds like a great first week and as long as this goes to plan, the distances will be increasing and I should hopefully be…
