Can you guess what I did yesterday, what gave me such a bright sense of euphoria? I went outside. I walked around for a couple hours, ate some good food, and bought books. The simple joys really, but such are so incredibly valuable to me. It's actually a little surprising I was so joyful the entire time, because very early on I managed to get both of my shoes nearly completely soaked with water and had to spend the rest of the day airing out my shoes and socks on and off so that they could dry. You would think that would suck, but I was completely unaffected. I laughed that this happened. I laughed. It did not ruin my day in the slightest. It definitely would have in the past. I am strangely precious with my possessions and hate damaging them in any respect. But this time none of that crossed my mind. I was just so happy that I could go barefoot for a time and none of my family members could say anything about it. If they did, I would have understood, because who really knows what is…
