Time. 0 ▲ Life Is Such A Sweet Insanity. 9 hours ago · Life · hide · 0 comments We landed at MCO Orlando International Airport and as soon as we were in the terminal I saw a familiar site. I’ve always enjoyed that this particular airport has such a prominent master clock system throughout the entire facility, and one of the old school analog clocks was visible right near our gate. These are not the original clocks that were in the facility when I first landed at Orlando in the late 1990s. At that time they had a Standard Electric Time branded synchronous (with second hands) clock system made by Faraday. I always assumed those clocks were installed in the 1980s. This replacement clock system is made by National Time and is actually their “rotary impulse system”. The clocks run on a lower voltage and the minute hand jumps ahead once a minute. They’re much quieter that the old impulse clocks we knew from the early and mid 20th century.
