The NRL Grand Final weekend combined with a Labour Day long weekend gave us the perfect excuse for a proper first road trip with Ophelia - our Geely EX5. Orange fit the bill: about three hours west of Sydney, over the Blue Mountains, with enough around it to fill a weekend. Orange is about 220 km from our home, and with the extra driving we had planned, the trip would give us a chance to test out the charging network. Getting thereWe started off the trip with breakfast at home. We also packed some snacks, protein bars and such just in case, and set off! But first, a stopover at The Corner House Cafe, Quakers Hill for a coffee pickup. Coffee to start the journey!The route to Orange was via Bells Line of Road/Mount Tomah. This is an awesome stretch of road that is fabulous to drive. There are quite a few sections that have lots of steep turns and hairpin bends. I always love driving on twisty roads - they always hold your attention compared to the straight, drab roads. Twisties around…
