That led me down memory lane. The chickenpox vaccine was approved for use in the United States in 1995. That is how kids these days are given immunity. Not today, nurse! But some of us had to earn it the all natural old-fashioned way. Back in the autumn of 1994, very shortly after I received my first video game console (model 2 Sega Genesis bundled with Sonic 2 by the way), I complained about foot discomfort at school. One of my teachers removed my sock and saw what appeared to be early chickenpox. I did indeed have chickenpox, and was picked up from school. I do not think I had thought back to that time I was revealed to have chickenpox in some time. But I recalled the story when the subject of the chickenpox vaccine comes up,… No comments yet.
