The poll, commissioned by TV Guide and conducted by Opinion Research Corporation of Princeton, NJ and documented by Neil Hickey, tells us that Americans have definite opinions regarding what is called the "new permissiveness" on television. Among the conclusions suggested by the poll:Almost 40 percent think TV is "a lot more open and frank than it should be."Forty-one percent think there's too much sex, while nearly two-thirds think there's too much violence.More than half are in favor of a review board "to screen TV shows for the purpose of keeping programs of 'questionable taste' off the air."
