Day 238: Vein of the City

2026-10-02Hello!I need to just take a list of "top ten interesting compositions" and get them done. Next photowalk, maybe. Because I haven't done the "frame within a frame" until now.For all my talk on leading lines in February, I haven't explored interesting compositions in photography for a while. The "frame within a frame", where items in the photograph serve as a crop to focus your attention to some part of the image, is fun to try and pull off! I've done it twice before, but they weren't clever enough to my liking: one was through a dedicated lookout window and the other by misusing camera equipment that I loaned from a friend.Here, I set my camera up to the metal bars guarding the bridge above this highway. There was a separate bridge that I meant to use because it could fit more in the shot, but the overlook point was separated from the sidewalk by dense bushes and flowers. This one was much less hassle to get to, but I still feel like I'm doing something no civilian should be…
