Friday 5 for October 9: Live to eat

Scene: Tuesday, at a birthday dinner for the lovely KristenK: So are you quietly quitting blogging?Me: Ummm…no? No. No! I’m not quitting! So here I am. Not quitting. That’s right, I changed this entire website. I guess I should make a fall banner. Happy Friday! Today is National Moldy Cheese Day (seriously?) and Fire Prevention Day which was a highlight of the year when I was in elementary school. Our local fire department would host an open house with cartoons, pretzels, fire truck rides, plastic firefighter hats, Tot Finder stickers, and a plastic house filled with smoke for us to practice crawling through. Occasionally they’d set a car on fire in the parking lot and extinguish it! Good times. What’s been going on? Everything and nothing. Summer’s over. We went to Hershey Park for a few days. I was promoted at work to Director of Membership! Murphy’s doing well. I’m reading a lot and still making cards. My fantasy football team is astoundingly in second place. Let’s do the Friday 5…
