Do you wake up every day, spend thirty minutes on your phone catching up on the world’s doings, silently adding stress to your day by prematurely overloading your brain with as much informational ingestion as inherently allowed, only to find that you’re left in a state of disarray and discombobulation for the remainder of your morning? I quite prize these moments, truth be told, as I like to be appraised of what’s happening on our little blue-green blob, and even though I know it can add to the spiral of frenetic jitteryness that two early coffees will also not contribute positively to, I find that as far as routines go: it’s not that bad. However, there are some days when I begin the routine, yet in front of me unfolds another beautiful sunrise and I think to myself, “no. This morning, I will watch the birds speckled across the orange sky playing in the wind, and that’s all the world gets of my attention for now.” Today was one of those days and this is simply a gentle reminder that…
