It has been one week since I announced the Spooktober play along and I thought it would be fun to share updates along the way. First of all, I finished playing Doki Doki Literature Club. The game takes some time to show its true (horror) colors, but when it does…!!! I don’t want to spoil the game, so I’ll leave it at that. When I got to the end, I didn’t want it to be done. I’m glad that they released this “plus” edition where you get some extra content and I want to dive into that for sure. Then, I decided to start playing Bloomtown: A Different Story, since it’s the longest game in my list and I wanted to put some hours in. I’ve played about 4 or 5 hours of it so far. My first impressions of the game were great: the pixel art and animations are gorgeous, the soundtrack features so many catchy tracks, and the story – two children that arrive in a small town and start investigating the mystery of other children disappearing – got me hooked.
