It’s been a very long time since I screwed up a roll of film this bad, but it kind of works so I’m going with it. This was a new-to-me film I was trying out while I was in Montreal a few weeks ago. I don’t normally shoot high ISO film because I don’t like the grain, but I wanted something a little more flexible with varying light. A friend and I took the Metro to Verdun where one of my favourite coffee roasters has a café. Saint Henri makes an espresso called God Shot that is absolutely divine. It is so good. So while there I bought three bags of it to take home with me in addition to the cappuccino and doughnut for a sit-down. We walked the streets between the Verdun Metro station and the café so there was lots of opportunity for photos. I liked the message of this graffiti — the same tagger had another, similar, message further down the street — so I had to capture it. The light leak was caused by me accidentally opening the back of the camera while rewinding the film a few days…
