When next the raiders approached the city, seeking more riches and art, they found the forest devoid of buildings aside from the grand temple. Paused by confusion, the riches were gone, no one was left to abuse. The temple remained. This place must suffice to loot for Greedy Noble. They entered a field before the temple where once was a large plaza. Approaching with care lest guards be hidden they stepped onto the bare field. Then arrows sprouted in the raiders backs. Shrieking, they died on the grass. More arrows whistled from many treetops surrounding the empty field. Defenders hidden unseen by raiders that could not fight back or flee. With every foe slain, Lady of Rain’s folk cheered in their secret towers.
