I have been wondering why the past couple of years have been so much harder on me even than Trump’s first presidency, and this is exactly why. There is just so much happening, all at once. (Beware: image and link heavy post below the fold; both the images and discussion of government violence rape may be disturbing–if you are in a vulnerable place, please skip this one) ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ ICE constantly detains U.S. citizens for the crime of not looking white enough. 1 ICE has deported over 500 U.S. citizens since the second Trump inauguration–and that includes *children* 2: ICE has a arrested literally hundreds of thousands of people, many of them legal immigrants, immigrants in the process of obtaining their visas, their permanent residencies, their citizenships, and they have renditioned many to prisons in third countries where they don’t have legal rights or representation. 3 This is but a fraction of the violence aimed at immigrants by the U.S. government, but by no means fully…
