I got a chance to try PlayStation VR2 and tested it on two games: Horizon Call of the Mountain and Gran Turismo 7. Horizon Call of the Mountain Let’s start with a headline game of the headset, a new story in Horizon universe, which I like so much. And I must say the opening sequence is mind-blowing. After a few first missions, the Machine Safari is unlocked, where you ride a boat and see the full variety of machines, from Watcher and Grazer to Thunderjaw and Stormbird. Seeing them as if they are alive, is a great experience. The visuals are stunning, as always in the Horizon series. The game, however, doesn’t sell me the VR headset at all. Everything shown there could have been played using a controller and flat TV, and would be as good or even better. Overall, I haven’t found any compelling reason to continue playing.
