These models are my own original designs based on historical engines. Each one features a hand-turned knob to rotate the crankshaft and move the pistons. Parts lists and instructions are included below. V8: 8-cylinder V-engine The V8 is a good model to begin with. It is simple to build and operates smoothly. In the real world, this layout has powered everything from cars and motorcycles to airplanes and speedboats. The Lego model features a flat-plane crankshaft and a wide 110-degree V-angle.
