Bempton Cliffs and Filey 0 ▲ Ben Oliver 2 hours ago · Life · hide · 0 comments I joined my parents and their friend for a couple of days over on the Yorkshire coast, they very kindly invited me for the last couple of days of their holiday. These are all from Filey and Bempton cliffs. I don’t shoot much colour and much less Portra, but I was there to photograph birds on the cliffs so I thought I’d give it a go. Bempton is known for its wide variety of birds, and when we were there it was gannet season. Turns out my favourites were not of birds but rather the surrounding scenery. I cannot believe how lovely the colours are with this film, I guess it’s not all hype. We were lucky with the light so actually, the gannets probably could have worked just as well in black and white. I took my Pentax MX. I had ordered a 200mm lens to get the bird photos, but it got delayed so I went to Harrison’s Cameras who happened to have a 135mm for really cheap. Perhaps this was for the best in the end, the birds were actually quite close and it was very windy on the cliff. But now… No comments yet. Log in to reply on the Fediverse. Comments will appear here.
