Today I cried in therapy 0 ▲ ✦ Ginoz Blog ✦ 1 hour ago · Life · hide · 0 comments Or rather, I started crying, because I didn’t have the courage to let myself cry all the way. These past few months in therapy have been some of the hardest I’ve ever had to face, because for the first time, I’m talking in depth about how much my brother’s illness has affected me since he was diagnosed almost eight years ago. At the same time, I’ve discovered how that pain, which I thought had already healed, has manifested itself in the rest of my relationships and my daily life. How the pain of loss, illness, and the possibility of watching someone I love die has controlled me for so long. It’s been incredibly difficult, but revealing at the same time. I’m so afraid of facing the truth that even the thought of running away from my next sessions has been lingering in my mind. I hope I can finally loosen the knot in my throat and say everything that’s weighing on my heart, so I can begin to heal this immeasurable sadness. ✉ Reply via email ✉ Previous ✦ Next No comments yet.
